my granny’s house, revived digitally

Medium: 3D
Outcome: a near-complete digital representation of my grandmother’s house
Year: 2020
Time spent: 2 months
“128 Hàng Trống St.” was the address of this house, but I refer to it as 128 only.
There isn’t much to say about this project, besides it being me, reminiscing again on this space.
(this project came before the pixel art)

Drafted layout for each floor
I externalized my internal map of the place, drawing floor plans for the first and second floor.
Scale and relative positon of objects was the hardest to get right, and I tried my best with my flimsy fallible memory.

Reference for objects, found online.

Personal favorite furniture items
The house isn’t finished.
The second floor is incomplete.
I am well aware of that. Yet within that certain timeframe, I got so much enjoyment out of the modelling.
I got so giddy that I bridged my memories through Blender, and they materialized.
